Growing up I was told constantly what I couldn’t do. I heard all about that “permanent record” that follows you through life and I spent years being trampled on to be forced into a certain mold.
Sorry, but I’m not that person who is content to live in the same town, same friends, same hairstyle and repeat that my whole life.
I broke free. And with time and support I became who I was destined to be… a one woman army.
But who am I?
I’m everything you were told you can’t be. I am the person who was too heavy, not pretty enough, not smart enough, not rich enough and not the right name to make it in an industry dominated by the young and athletic.
When will people realize that you don’t have to be 25 and 110 lbs to know how to run a business that is about promotion, planning and strategic long term planning.
I’m Kim Artlip and this is my story.
